Safe Driving (SD) – previously known as Safe Urban Driving – is essential training for commercial vehicle operators, including goods and passenger transport drivers. This accredited course helps meet key industry compliance requirements, including:
Work Related Road Risk (WRRR)
Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Silver
Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety (CLOCS)
All Safe Driving courses under FORS guidelines are divided into two parts: a classroom-based theory session and a practical component. For the practical section, participants can now choose between a real-world cycling experience or an immersive virtual reality (VR) alternative.
Complete both 3.5-hour sessions to fulfil one full day (7 hours) of Driver CPC training.

Which Option Is Right for You – On-Bike or VR?
Both delivery methods meet the same qualification standards.
On-Bike Training: Conducted outdoors on actual bicycles, this session is held near the classroom and gives participants real-time street experience.
VR Training: Takes place entirely in the classroom, using cutting-edge VR headsets to simulate real traffic scenarios. This is ideal for those seeking convenience, flexibility, or who prefer to avoid outdoor cycling.
Why choose VR?
VR training immerses drivers in realistic road environments, encouraging intuitive responses and muscle memory. It’s a powerful way to improve hazard perception and decision-making in a controlled, safe setting.
