Our training room is part of our suite of offices in Europa Square. Spacious enough to take up to 20 candidates (12 for the First Aid course), we have tea, coffee and microwave facilities in the main office (we do 5-star microwave cuisine at lunchtime), and comfortable chairs to relax in during the breaks.
We can also offer off-site training if customers have suitable facilities and we are happy to come and see you to discuss what best suits your needs. We cover a huge area – from Hunstanton, all around the Wash, to Skegness and all points in-between: King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Wisbech, Spalding, Boston. We also work with our neighbouring offices Peterborough and Cambridge as well.
At weekends we have the whole of the square to park in. We are on the ground floor and you can park right outside the door if you get here early enough! Weekdays are busier as other premises on-site are open, however, there is ample roadside parking outside in Europa Way.
We have a large red sign on the fence around the compound but if you miss it, look for the giant concrete blocks and the Europa Square sign on the wall. Not all SatNavs recognise our postcode PE13 2UR – so the alternative is PE13 2TZ which is the opposite side of the road, and always seems to work. Google Streetview hasn’t caught up with us yet and still shows an empty site, but we’ve been here for 3½ years.
Amanda, the franchisee, delivers most of our weekend courses. After more than 30 years working with and training drivers in the industry she says she should be shot if she doesn’t know the rules by now. She has delivered CPC training for over 7 years and still thinks it’s fun! We also have Colin who although he hasn’t delivered training for as long as Amanda, he is an agency driver so experienced in the industry and he is also a former paramedic which makes him perfect to deliver our First Aid courses. Colin delivers our weekday courses.
We try to make our courses fun, as well as useful. Audience participation is actively encouraged – we think that drivers’ own experiences are the best way to make a point relevant – drivers don’t sleep in our Training Room! We try to bring subjects to life with stories, pictures, videos and discussion, and based on the feedback we’ve received, we’ve found that this really works.
